We've started working on Hudson's big boy room and it got me to thinking that I never posted pictures of his nursery. Actually, I never took pictures of his nursery before he came home from the hospital which to this day I'm kicking myself for. But here is room the day we listed our house in Texas on the market. He had been living in this room for 2 years already and it no longer had the glider in it, but I loved this room so so so much. Looking at these pictures make me miss our house in Texas terribly. We put so much into that house and have endless memories there. And now I'm crying. Ha!
So here is the view of his room from his door. I loved that his room had 2 windows. You can't see it in this picture, but we had those paper black out shades on his window and they were hanging behind the valances so we could fold them up out of the way.
This is the corner where the glider was. He didn't have that shelf for his first 18 months.
One of the things I ended up loving about our house was that it wasn't a split floor plan. Out side his room you can see the door to our bedroom and then Emma's room was right next door to Hudson's. It made it easy to have our babies sleep in their cribs their first night home from the hospital.
My sweet boy playing in his room. He looks so small here even though this was only taken about 8 months ago.
Here's my sweet boy at 6 months old in the glider in his room.
So there was Hudson's 1st nursery. I guess it's his only nursery. I don't know. Even though all the furniture is the same here and he's still sleeping in his bed it doesn't feel so much of a nursery anymore. I'll be sure to share his room here too before we change it. I also haven't shared Emma's nursery so I'll do that next week!
So sweet!! And look at little he was! Time really does fly with children.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I can't imagine having to leave the house you brought your babies home to and their rooms! I'd be crying too! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love how light and airy the room looks!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! I am very impressed at how straight his name is hanging above his crib. That looks like a project that my husband and I would've torn our hair out over. :)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I understand the sentimentality for your first home, I know that your new house is just as lovely because you have such a great eye for decor!
