the details

First of all...THANK YOU all so much for all of the sweet emails, tweets, comments and facebook messages. We are so excited and so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with this pregnancy. And I am so happy that everyone finally knows! We've had a secret for way too long. Here are some details...

When did you find out? We found out on October 14. I'll share more of that story later.

How far along are you? 11 weeks 2 days and my due date is June 17. One week after my birthday!

Will you find out the sex? Yes, we will be finding out the sex of the baby. Before I got pregnant I always went back and forth on wanting to find out. But now that I'm knocked up it's all I can think about. I'm ready to start monogramming things!

How are you feeling? I feel awesome! I am in that rare group that does not experience morning sickness. My mom didn't so I'm hoping that I'll be the same. I do get a little nauseous first thing in the morning if I don't eat breakfast fast enough but that's it. Not complaining!

I am so tired all the time. Not a fan. I'm also crazy emotional. I have cried during a Kay Jewelry commercial, I cried when Brad Paisley gave his acceptance speech for entertainer of the year. I cry about once a day, give or take.

  1. Is it the first Christmas as a family commercial where the mom is rocking the baby and gets some fab piece of bling? That one gets me...the emotional stuff hit me AFTER pregnancy. I cried at the mall when Santa waved at Hadley Grace the other day...yep, certifiable!

  3. Lindsay and John,
I am so thrilled for ya'll! You will both be amazing parents. It is so much fun. I am glad your pregnancy is pretty easy so far. Mine was like that too and it was so enjoyable. I was also SUPER emotional. Don't even try to watch Baby Story or Bringing home Baby on TLC! If you do, you will need a box of tissues. :) Enjoy this fun time of planning, preparing, and praying. Congratulations...so happy for you!

  4. I think there are more people who don't get nauseous than we think, we just hear abou the bad cases. I didn't get morning sickness at all either. What a blessing! I am so happy for you guys. I used to cry at commercials and songs all the time! :)

  5. Okay so I still cry at all that stuff on TV and my kids are 21 and 25! Yep it's hormones, I'm sure, but not the pregnant kind, yikes!!! Lindsay, you cracked me up using the phrase "knocked up" about yourself. LOL! So happy you feel good, and believe me when I say that IS a blessing, you have no idea! ;-) And I'm so glad for you! Your energy will return, and soon! You will love the second trimester! I look forward to hearing every detail so be sure to blog in between all the baby projects.
