Wednesday Love!

I'm finally participating in What I'm Loving Wednesday again! Link up here!

I'm LOVING my new shampoo and conditioner.

My hair dresser told me about Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner and it's amazing. It smells awesome and leaves my hair feeling great!

I'm LOVING these curtains.
I'm about to order them from World Market for our master bedroom. I love the colors and think they will add some much needed color to that room.

I'm LOVING my Home Organization Notebook!

Blue-Eyed Bride recently shared her notebook and inspired me to create one also. I finished it yesterday and I'm already feeling so much more organized and like I know what I need to do when. Now I really can't wait for my Erin Condren Life Planner to get here!

I'm LOVING that Hudson is getting so close to sleeping through the night

I snapped these during nap time yesterday afternoon and I may or may not have moved his crib to get the perfect angle. ;)

He had 2 nights in a row Saturday and Sunday night. For the last month when he does wake up around 3am he doesn't need to be nursed anymore which I LOVE. He usually just needs to be soothed and then can fall asleep. He's waking up out of habit so we are working on getting through that.

My almost 3 month old is also 14 pounds now! That makes me so proud! :)

And of course, I'm LOVING these 2 guys. They are my life!

Hudson's First Trip to Dallas

I'm trying so hard to get caught up on blogging! I'm the stupid person who thought that I would have tons of free time to blog, read blogs and do everything around my house once I became a stay-at-home mom. You can all laugh now. ;)

The last week in July, John had another conference in Dallas so once again Hudson and I tagged along. It would be a perfect opportunity to spend time with my family in McKinney.

On our way we made a stop in Huntsville to visit the Broaddus Family

Hudson and Patrick...

Hudson and Ethan's first time playing together. I can't remember how Hudson ended up in just a diaper?

While we were in Huntsville (which unfortunately was less than 24 hours) Hudson's allergies got really bad. The poor guy could not breathe which made for a very long night for John and I. Hudson would fall asleep and then about 10 minutes later wake up crying because he was so congested. John stood in the shower with him so the steam could break everything up then we were using Ethan's bulb syringe to get everything out. It was our worst parenting night because there wasn't much we could do to help him. We got maybe 3 hours of sleep that night. Maybe.

We got to McKinney and Hudson immediately got loving from his Aunt Whit!

Papa Jim lovin'!

Uncle Jonathan

Hudson's first time meeting his Uncle Mark and Aunt Betsy. They had just gotten back from a trip to the Dominican Republic and met him for the first time around midnight.

Like I said, Hudson was crazy congested while we were gone. Thankfully things started to get better in McKinney but not normal. I left our "booger sucker" from the hospital at home. (I now know to ALWAYS travel with it!) I tried to buy one at CVS but it was horrible. It did not work at all. So I did what any desperate new mom would do. I went to a hospital. Found the children's wing and begged for one of theirs. Thankfully after talking to 6 people I got one.

Hudson and his Lady

With Aunt Betsy

Hudson and Uncle Mark. These 2 had an instant bond that melted my heart! I can't wait for Mark to teach Hudson how to drum. He's an incredible drummer!

We had a wonderful time visiting all of my family while we were in the Dallas area. As always, the trip was way too fast but Hudson got lots of loving. :)

Sleeping Through the Night!

For over a month now Hudson has been able to sleep through the night.

Notice I said he's been able to...not that he does it every night.

He would go through the night one night then the next he would be up every hour. Ugh!

But Saturday night and last night he slept through both nights. First time it's been 2 nights in a row.

I'm PRAYING that he does it again tonight. I'm loving my uninterrupted sleep. Or should I say uninterrupted by him. I still wake up every few hours and go in a check on him.

Maybe soon I'll be able to sleep through the night also.

Weekend Recap!

We had a pretty low key-relaxing-uneventful weekend but a few things were fun that I want to remember.

Friday (John's day off) I {finally} finished writing thank you notes. I am now done (PRAISE THE LORD) and they are in the mailbox today ready to go out.

Hudson gave us lots of precious smiles all weekend long!

John worked out in the yard and then had to be at church Friday night for an event. When he got home he and Hudson had some special cuddle time on the couch. (Notice the stacks of his birth announcements on the table...those are going out this week!)

Hudson has been moving around so much in his crib lately. The past 3 mornings he has not been in the same spot where we laid him down.

He also somehow got his arms out of the SwaddleMe blanket this weekend.

Yesterday was Hudson's first Sunday in the nursery at church. It was our 4th time going to church and he has always slept through everything which is wonderful. But last Sunday he was just a little to noisy (tooting and snoring) while he slept. I also was able to concentrate more during the service so it was great for both of us.

I just LOVE his little outfit that John's cousin gave him.

Hudson's First Trip to the Promise Land

The Promise Land = Waco of course. ;)

Last month (I can't believe it's been a month already!) we went to Waco. It was Hudson's first road trip when he was only 5 weeks old. John had a conference to attend at Baylor so Hudson and I tagged along. I was so excited to have some extended time in Waco and take Hudson to see our beloved Baylor for the first time,

Ready for his 1st road trip! He did so great.

After a nursing stop Hudson got to "drive" for the first time. Also, please ignore the missing leather from the center console. And the hospital cup. Yes, my baby is 9 1/2 weeks old and I still use it.

First time in the pack & play. It was also his first time sleeping in the same room as us. We all did good but much better when he is in his own room!

Meeting Ben...one of our good friends from Waco.

Meeting Dr. Terry York, one of John's professors while he was in seminary and grad school. Hudson spit up on him and John was so thankful that he had already graduated!

Meeting Hannah...I used to baby sit her and her brother and now she is going to be a senior in h.s. this year!

One night we met our very dear friends the Johnsons and Mark Giles for dinner at Chuy's. Unfortunately Carla couldn't make it.

Getting some Dinah love!

We got to meet Candace, Maddox, Patsy and Kendall for dinner at Raising Cane's. Maddox loved Hudson!

Dinner at Keith and Kerry's house. It was great to be able to share our experiences with Hudson and Addilyn and know that other parents go through the same things we are.

First time meeting the bears and on campus!

On our way home we stopped in Georgetown to have a late lunch/early dinner with John's sister Sara.

We absolutely love Waco and going back to Baylor and this time was so special getting to bring Hudson for the first time. We can't wait to go back for Homecoming in the fall!

Amazing Deals

I love shopping and I love a good deal so I just wanted to share a few of my favorite online places to do both. These are all online stores that feature different brands and products at super reduced prices. The sales they have are only available for a few days.

First of all, One Kings Lane...this is the most important one right now because they are featuring Erin Condren. Her Life Planner is all the talk on blogs and Twitter right now. I have been drooling over this planner for a few years now but could never justify paying $50 for it. But right now on One Kings Lane you can purchase a $50 e-card for only $25 for any Erin Condren product! So that means the Life Planner is only $25. Sign up for One Kings Lane and I'll get a $25 credit....then refer your friends and you will get a $25 credit. Totally worth it!

I also love for baby and kids clothes and products Totsy and Zulily.

Two of my other favorites are Rue La La and Plum District.

So, it's free to sign up plus you get the chance to buy amazing products and designer brands for WAY less than what you'd spend in stores. Now...go sign up and start shopping!

Hudson and Daddy

John has been so amazing with Hudson.

While we were in the hospital he changed more diapers than me. In fact, he will pretty much change diapers anytime he is home.

He is absolutely crazy about Hudson and loves on him and plays with him any chance he gets.

And I have to say, I can tell that Hudson is already crazy about his Daddy. He knows his Daddy will play with him and sing to him.

I can't wait to watch these 2 as Hudson gets older.

I always knew John would be an amazing Daddy. But he has blown me away.
