Christmas Morning!

Santa came!

Christmas this year was so much fun! Hudson understands so much and got so into it. Emma didn't really get it at all but would get excited when Hudson was excited.

Hudson thought it was so funny that Santa ate his cookies and drank his milk and that Rudolph loved the carrots!

Here they are coming out of Hudson's room. Side note: their bedrooms connect so we went through Emma's room and we were able to bring them out together from Hudson's room.  :)

It took Hudson a minute to realize what he saw in front of the tree. :)

The ball pit was a huge hit! Santa got a GREAT deal on this from Zulily. ;)

And now checking out Emma's new house. They both love this house so much!

I knew the train table would be a huge hit with Hudson. He loves the one at Toys R Us!

Digging into stockings!

Emma got The Little Mermaid from Papa Jim!

And a grocery cart!

They got so many new books this year. I love that they love books.

Emma got this adorable camera and Hudson kept taking selfies and saying "cheeeeese!" all day. :)

Later in the day, I was making some fresh whipped cream for a pie and Emma discovered the amazingness of it.

It was a perfect Christmas day with my family!

nuby flower child toddler plate

We've just recently started introducing plates to Emma. For so long she's been in the "throw plates on the floor along with all other food" stage. She's just now starting to get the hang of plates. Of course, she still has her plate tossing moments, but she's getting some practice now with her new Nuby Flower Child Toddler Plate.

I love the colors and shape of this Toddler Plate! It's so girly and fun, plus with the rubbery grip base, it doesn't slide around on her high chair tray like other plastic plates do. I love that this plate is strong and durable and is microwave safe. Perfect for getting food to my hungry toddler fast!

The Nuby Flower Child Toddler Plate is available at these retailers:

Christmas Eve 2013

John's mom came to Birmingham for Christmas this year. We had so much fun with Susu while she was here. On Christmas Eve, we went downtown to eat at the Chick fil A there. As we were leaving, a trolly was right outside and Hudson went nuts over the "choo choo!"

The woman driving the trolly was SO SWEET and let us come inside so Hudson could see it. Then she asked if we were in a hurry. We weren't so we got to take a ride all through downtown Birmingham on the trolly. Hudson was in heaven!

After our trolly ride, we went home and the kids took naps and I finished up cooking for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. After naps we got ready and went to church for the Christmas Eve service.

So lovely Emma.

E and B came over after church to give the kids their Christmas presents.

Adorable Christmas jams!!

After dinner, we went outside to sprinkle some reindeer food that our friends gave us. Hudson got so into it and loved it!

Emma just loved an excuse to be outside. It was FREEZING!

Not thinking, we fed them dinner in their jams and got them SO DIRTY. So we had to do baths and put on other jams to sleep in. Boo.

Before bed, we picked out some cookies for Santa and a few carrots for Rudolph. We got a glass with milk and put it by the fireplace. Hudson was SO excited and loved leaving cookies for Santa. I was shocked though when he kept wanting to eat the carrots! We put the kids to bed and then got busy playing Santa! :)

Chapel Choir Christmas party

Last week we had the Chapel Choir Christmas party after Candlelight.

Such a fun photo booth with great props and best friends!

Love this guy!

John with the officers. Can you spot the photobomber?

"Sansa! Sansa! Sansa!"

A few weeks ago, we took the kids to see Santa at the mall closest to our house. I had heard he was a good Santa and the fact that it was less than 10 minutes away made it even better!

We built Santa up so much with Hudson that he LOVED him! I expected Hudson to do great with him but would have bet money that Emma would have freaked out. She is so attached to me right now and has major separation anxiety that I was pretty convinced she wouldn't be okay on the jolly guy's lap. But I was wrong!

Hudson asked Santa for a "tree and choo choo." Not sure where he got the idea that he wanted a tree for Christmas. Maybe the huge Christmas tree behind Santa? But Hudson sure does love Christmas trees right now. He was pretty thrilled on Christmas morning when Santa brought him a train table. Emma just sat on his lap trying to figure out what the heck was going on.

After seeing Santa, we had a quick lunch in the food court at CFA.  Love my guys.

And my sweet girl. Because this outfit is the cutest thing ever.

The official Santa 2013 picture. I'm pretty sure that all 3 faces are a reaction of John and I acting like fools trying to get Hudson and Emma to smile.

Our plan backfired, but we still got a pretty cute picture out of it.
