Hudson's Dedication

On Sunday we dedicated Hudson to the Lord. Of course, from the moment we knew I was pregnant we already gave him to God. And then when he was born, we did that again. We are so humbled that God has allowed us to be Hudson's parents. Sunday was our chance to publicly say this in front of our church.

After church we had lunch at our house with our good friends, the Chavana family, and their family. Hudson is about 2 1/2 weeks older than Landry and it has been so fun watching them grow together.

Landry just couldn't stay off Hudson. :)

Our sweet little family

Hudson's hands continue to be one of his favorite things. :)

Hudson's Sip & See

Last month (Gosh I'm behind on blogging...I'm playing catch up this week!) John's sister, Sara, and cousin, Katy, hosted a sip and see for Hudson. It was for all of his dad's side of the family to meet and love on Hudson. It was so much fun to see everyone!

John's dad and 2 of his sisters, Sandra and Martha. Sandra and Spencer are twins.

Game Day!

Even though we aren't going to the game, and it's not televised...Hudson is still ready to cheer on his Bears!

Although, when we told him that he couldn't watch the game with his BFF Ethan he got a little upset. :)

Forget You

While we were in Dallas my mom bought Hudson the cutest pair of sunglasses.

I loved them because they reminded me of Cee Lo Green.

I'll let the video speak for itself.

Hudson :: 3 Months Old

My sweet Hudson,

You are 3 months old today! How in the world did that happen? We are absolutely loving this age right now. We were just talking yesterday about how fun, easy, happy and perfect you are. If I had known how easy you would be we probably wouldn't have waited almost 6 years to have you! :)

You are such a happy and content baby. You only cry (which really isn't even a full cry all the time) if you are hungry or tired. You will fuss sometimes if you have a dirty diaper but not always. And if you are tired of being in a certain position. You've been this way from the beginning though. Always easy to calm down!

You love love love your mobile on your crib. You've enjoyed it for a while but just this month you've been able to stay in there watching it for 30+ minutes. I love that you can entertain yourself for a while during the day. I hope that you are able to do this for a long time. I think it's important that you can play by yourself some.

You still love your swing and activity mat but you are still not a fan of tummy time. We definitely cannot do tummy time right after you eat. There is a small window of opportunity for tummy time. Not right after you eat and but if we do it when you are getting hungry you just get mad because you are hungry.

You are SO close to rolling over from tummy to back. Every time you are doing tummy time we have the video camera going hoping to catch it. It will happen any day now. We will sometimes help you roll over so you can see how it feels.

You also still spit up a lot. But you are happy and smiling when it happens and you are gaining weight so the doctor says you will grow out of it someday. We go through so many burp cloths though. :)

You now love getting your diaper changed. Your changing table is a happy place for you and you will do so much smiling and cooing there. You love the pictures hanging above the changing table and you also have a good view of the fan...which you love!

You still aren't consistently sleeping through the night (in my book) but some people say that you are. You will go about 7-8 hours without waking up but depending on when you go to bed you sometimes wake up around 4:00. But you will go back to sleep pretty quickly so it's not too bad.

You still love standing up. That is your favorite position to be in so we've started using your Baby Einstein jumper. We have to put something under your feet because you are still technically too small for it but you really enjoy it.

We are crazy about you sweet boy!

Love,
Mommy

::3 month stats::
weight: 14 pounds 3 ounces
height: 24 1/2 inches
eating: breastfeeding (or a bottle of pumped breast milk) every 2-3 hours
clothes: mostly 3-6 month but some 3 months, and some 6-9/6-12 months
diaper: size 2

Look at how you've changed!

iPhone Rewind

So...iPhone picture dump from the last 6ish weeks.

We had dinner in Austin with John's dad and stepmom. Hudson loves his Pop Pop!

I could sit and watch my boy smile all day long!

First time in the Bumbo...have I posted this picture before???

On the {rare} nights that he sleeps through the night he is never in the same spot where we laid him down.

Sweet love!

Trying on his Mud Pie outfits that finally fit! He got the crab one at a shower in April.

And my mom got him this Mud Pie tool outfit in February when we found out he was a boy! I am obsessed with this one!

One day I was cleaning out our pen bucket and found this pencil and pen. Our wedding night we stayed at The Adolphus in downtown Dallas and we stayed at The Woldorf-Astoria in New York for our honeymoon. I texted this picture to John and he replied with some corny line. Something about "writing the story of our lives..." or something like that. ;)

My handsome boy!

We had rain (!!!!) last week and as soon as it started raining one of our tree limbs came down. Oliver stayed on the patio during the entire storm just watching and was wondering what on earth was going on. Hudson took an amazing nap!

We've been working so hard doing extra tummy time. Hudson absolutely hates it and needs some serious cuddling after.

Wiped out during a morning nap.

Sweet brothers just hanging out.

NO idea what caused this bottom lip to pop out but I sure do love it.

He has really started holding onto his WubbaNubs. He is also able to put them back in when they fall out if it is still close to his mouth.

My sweet boys. :)
