Looking back on 2012!

2012 was a big year for our family. It was our first full year as parents and we went from a family of 3 to a family of 4! It has been a year full of love, fun, and blessings.

We started off the year with a visit from my BFF and her precious kids. I love that Hudson already had the exact same outfit as her boys. The picture is pretty perfect. 

We went to McKinney to stay for a week while John was out of town at a conference and I met my blog friend, Katy and her sweet little boy, Pearson. 

Hudson started crawling in January!

In February we went to Huntsville for Patrick's ordination. I can't believe how much Hudson and E have changed this year! 

In March, the day Hudson turned 9 months old we found out about a huge blessing!

We took Hudson's pictures in the bluebonnets. I can't wait to do this with both of them in 2013.

We celebrated Hudson's first Easter.

We announced to our family, friends, and social media that Hudson would soon be a big brother!

We took Hudson to the zoo for the first time. 

In May we went to The Woodlands to watch my older brother compete in his 2nd Ironman! 

Hudson turned 1!

And we celebrated with our closest friends and family.

Hudson took swim lessons this summer with his friend, Landry.

I had a fun girls night out with some of my sweet friends.

Hudson went to the River for the first time and ate TONS of watermelon!

Hudson and I got to attend Summer Music Camp with John for the first time. 

We cherished moments.

We went to Gulf Shores, Alabama.

I grew a human.

We played outside in the backyard a TON!

We laughed a lot.

This is the last picture I took of Hudson before Emma was born. Later this night I started having contractions. 

Our hearts grew as we welcomed Emma James into our family.

Hudson became a big brother.

And he got his first haircut!

We celebrated Hudson's 2nd Thanksgiving and Emma's 1st. 

And Hudson's 2nd Christmas and Emma's 1st. 

It was an amazing year. I love what 2012 brought to our family and I am SO excited for 2013!

Looking back on 2011

Wow...2011 was an amazing year for our little family. I was pregnant for the 1st half of the year and then we started our journey as parents the 2nd half. I am amazed by the way God has blessed us and we are looking forward to all 2012 has in store. Here's a look back at 2011...a few of the highlights!

We started the year finishing several house projects. I was almost halfway through my pregnancy and we wanted to get the house finished before our baby arrived. We found out we were having a sweet BOY!

I had so many wonderful baby showers for Hudson. The first was back in Hamilton.

We had a 4D ultrasound of Hudson and got a glimpse of what he would look like.

I was admitted to the hospital for observation when I was 32 weeks pregnant. My doctor said my swelling was "impressive" and wanted to monitor me to make sure I didn't have pregnancy induced hypertension. I did not but I went on bed rest for a week. Was released to go back to work but the swelling came back with a vengeance. So I was on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Laying on my left side only bed rest. I do not miss that at all.

While on bed rest I was given doctor approval to go to my big church baby shower. They brought a glider and ottoman up there for me and I stayed in it the whole time.

And on June 10, 2011 (my 28th birthday) at 6:00 am my water broke. I was 39 weeks pregnant so we rushed to the hospital and Hudson Spencer Woods was born at 5:16 pm via c-section. Best birthday present ever. :)

When Hudson was 2 weeks old we had some precious family pictures taken at our home.

September 25, 2011 we dedicated Hudson to the Lord. We committed to be godly parents and lead Hudson to one day have a personal relationship with Christ.

We went to Baylor for Homecoming. 

Hudson had his first Christmas (and first Thanksgiving, Halloween and 4th of July among others). It was so magical.

We celebrated our first Christmas as a family of 3.

And we rang in the new year. I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for our sweet family. 

Looking back on 2010

So many amazing and big things have happened in 2010. I love looking back and seeing how the Lord has blessed us so much. I can't wait for 2011....the year our sweet baby will be here!

January

We got to spend two weekends with our best friends, Patrick and Courtney...one weekend in Sugar Land where they lived and one weekend in Victoria. Pretty soon our weekends with them are going to be so different!

February

John was published for the first time!

March

Our Sunday School class put together Buckets of Hope for Haiti.

April

We made an offer on our house and they accepted!

May

We closed and moved into our new house!

June

I blogged about our moving day adventure. It was quick, uneventful (in a good way) and we were so bless by the number of people who came to help us.

July

We did our first project outside. Shaving the bearded tree. This will be the year for the rest of the outside projects!

August

We went to Gulf Shores, AL for a wonderful beach vacation!

September

My sister came to visit and we had so much fun doing a late night Target run!

October

I shared our new front door makeover!

November

We shared with the world our most exciting news! Baby Woods will be here June 17, 2011!
December

We celebrated our last Christmas just the 2 of us and our first Christmas in our new house.
