11:11 on 11-11-11

Today is 11-11-11! And I'm a dork who made sure this post published at 11:11. :) A few random things going through my head today.

1. I've had a few emails and tweets about Hudson's clothes in his 5 month post. His shirt is from Pumpkin Butter Kids. Ashley's stuff is ADORABLE and she's so good! I'm talking with her now about some more fun things! His pants are Mini Boden.

y'all...that face!

2. We are getting Hudson one of the Anywhere Chairs from Pottery Barn Kids for Christmas. Those of y'all who have them...did you get the smaller or bigger one? How did you decide which one to get? I can't decide.

3. I haven't seen any of the Twilight movies (or read the books for that matter) but the new trailer that is out right now is almost making me want to go see it. But I'd have to watch the previous 2 movies and I'm not sure if I want to see it that bad.

4. I'm going to make these cupcakes today. Several blog/twitter friends have made them and say they are good. I'm excited. :)

5. Hudson is SO MUCH FUN right now. I had bunco last night so John and Hudson had daddy/son bonding time. Hudson usually gets pretty fussy right before he eats before bed and he didn't last night. John said he was just perfect. I love that! This is such a great age!

6. I think I want a Keurig. John doesn't think we "need" one but I think I really want one. We have the Cuisinart Grind & Brew coffee maker which is awesome but I love the idea of the Keurig. Those of y'all who have one...thoughts?

7. I got my first Birchbox on Wednesday and I'm already loving it! It's such a fun mix of goodies and I've already used 3 out of 5 of the products. So fun!

8. A few weeks ago we put away Hudson's swing and I think the bouncy seat isn't far behind. He just doesn't like it anymore and arches his back when he's in it. It's so sad that my baby is growing up so fast!

9. I still need to post about our weekend in Waco last week for Homecoming. We had the best time!

10. Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away...WHAT?? That means 2 weeks from today it's okay to decorate for Christmas. I like to focus on one holiday at a time. I do wish that there was a little more time between Thanksgiving and Christmas so I could have my decorations up longer. 1 month and 1 week isn't enough. :)

Happy Friday!

  1. Lindsay,
I know Hadley is older, but we are getting the larger chair for her. What I've found so far is that "up"sizing is better than not...Hudson will only get bigger. When he is stable enough to sit in the chair on his own, the difference in the sizes won't matter too much (from a fall standpoint). I was in PBK with Hadley making her sit in each of the chairs. She is a small baby (not quite 20lbs at 14 months) and the bigger chair was just a better fit. In my opinion...others may totally disagree.
Also, we put the bouncy seat away some time ago but left the swing out so we could strap Hadley in it for breathing treatments or a few minutes of chores. She went through a time where she hated it, but now (as old as she is) she still goes up to it, pats the seat and wants to chill and watch a video. WHAT? Um, ok...since she is small, she can still sit in it. So, until we pull out her chair on Christmas, she is loving her swing. go figure. I'm glad we didn't put it away (although I know she is the exception and not the rule)! : ) Your son is sweet. I love his nose.

  2. Twilight actually has 3 movies before this one, so if you want to see it you better start soon! :)

  3. I just got a Keurig for my birthday and I think its the greatest thing ever! I can set it to come on and heat the water when my alarm goes off, so its ready to go when I come out to make coffee. Now, you can buy a little filter and use your own coffee grounds...this makes it even more practical for me! Go for it!

  4. I was thinking about a PB chair for Pearson too!! I can't decide if I want to spend the money or not???

  5. you'll have to watch 3 other twilight movies hon ;) and i say get on it because it's so good!!

we've got the overstuffed anywhere chair. it's a bit bigger than the anywhere chair and we LOVE it. and don't worry about him not using it. even if he doesn't, you will ;) trust me on this!!
