I'm linking up with Miscellany Monday!
I've officially been in my 3rd trimester for almost 2 weeks now. That's crazy to me!
I also let my boss know today that after I have the baby I will be staying at home. This is something that has always been a dream of mine and I am so thankful that John is completely supportive and encouraging in this. It will definitely be a change but we are committed to it and I am beyond excited!
We had our 1st baby shower this weekend and it was so much fun. I will have a full recap up soon but we recieved so many wonderful things including lots of clothes and diapers. Baby Hudson is already so loved and blessed!
Next week we have our 3D ultrasound scheduled and we begin our childbirth classes. I am so excited about both because it means we are so close!
I'm really hoping that the next 11 or so weeks are kind, quick and full of nesting. There are so many things I want to get done around the house.
I found out last week that I do have gestational diabetes. Ugh. Although it won't be too bad. I will meet with a dietician today and when I talked to her on the phone last week she was very encouraging and as long as we keep it controlled everything will be fine. Plus, it goes away after I have the baby.
Currently, I'm not experiencing too many pregnancy symptoms. Going to the bathroom much more frequently again. I also think I started feeling some Braxton Hicks contractions this weekend. Nothing too bad though.
Oh and I'm pretty sure Hudson is going to take after his dad and Uncle Mark and be a musician. I'm thinking he will be like Uncle Mark and become a drummer because that's what it felt like he was doing in my belly during my glucose test last week.

Congrats on the THIRD trimester!! WOW!! And an even bigger congrats on becoming a stay at home mommy... best decision we EVER made! I, like you, had always wanted this too! :) Yay! Enjoy the last third! :)
ReplyDeleteyay! for the 3rd Trimester. I am officially in my 3rd trimester today!! I got for my glucose test tomorrow. I keep telling myself that if I do have GT that there could be alot of other worse things like something wrong with the baby. So I would gladly take GT over that especially since it goes away after birth. Hopefully you are looking at the positive side of it like that as well!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on staying home next year. I'm so excited to be staying home too!! And we are about to have our child birth classes. Every Tuesday of next month. I think it's silly that I'm excited, but I think I'm just excited because that means the end is drawing near!!
Hope everything else is going well with your pregnancy. The pictures you posted of Hudson's nursey were precious!!
Glad you are getting so close! I know lots of people who had GD and it was totally fine- they just had to adjust their diet a little bit during pregnancy! Excited that you'll be staying at home- it's pretty amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see ya'll!! Take care of yourself and big hugs!! <3, Candace
ReplyDeleteYAY for staying at home!! You will never regret it.
ReplyDeleteBOO for GD!! I had it with ABBY (strangely, only with Abby...). and look at her. She's perfect. :-) Hudson will be, too. Just follow what the dietician says. It's not that bad, once you get used to it. I actually liked it, and stayed on the diet after Miss Priss arrived, and lost all my weight MUCH quicker than with the other two.
Awesome to see you guys this weekend!
Can't believe you're in your third trimester already!!! Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, found you through Fabulous K. Congrats on your third trimester!
