Our Weekend in iPhone Pictures

We had a fun, low-key and relaxing weekend. It was John's first weekend in weeks that he didn't have anything going on so we enjoyed lots of family time.

Friday we had lunch at a new restaurant in our town called The Pump House. They took the old water pump house and turned it into an amazing restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Hudson devoured his grilled cheese.

After each meal Hudson and Oliver work together to clean up Hudson's seat to get any leftovers. Teamwork at its finest.

For dinner Friday night we had a very yummy meal. We had shrimp that was seasoned with that jerk seasoning then sautéed in olive oil. After it's cooked we added that pineapple coconut mango tequila sauce...oh my word it was amazing.

We also made Anne Burrell's Pommes Chef Anne. It was okay. If you make it be sure to add lots of salt to every layer of potato.

We had roasted asparagus...one of my favorite veggies!

And John grilled huge juicy rib eyes. Yum!

For dessert, John made homemade Creme Brûlée. He's been making this for about a year and a half now and he's mastered it. It's seriously good.

Saturday John worked out in the yard and Hudson supervised from the swing.

Saturday night we went to dinner at some friends' house and had a great time. They live out in the country so after dinner we went on a nice walk to a pond to skip rocks. Hudson and Bella enjoyed a wagon ride together. It was Hudson's first time in a wagon. He wasn't really sure what to think.

Sundays are becoming a difficult sleep day for Hudson. He usually naps from 9:00-10:00 in the mornings. We have to leave for church around 9:15 so the nap usually doesn't happen. And rarely can they get him to nap in the nursery so by the time we get to lunch he's done. I was so happy when I picked him up yesterday and was told he'd been asleep for 35 minutes! He hasn't slept in a swing in 5 or 6 months.

I just loved his outfit yesterday. It is from a sweet friend that my family has known for years. I love it!

Hudson's little outfit on Sunday is just the cutest!! When I had boys I never saw things like this I guess they were not popular in Kentucky (Greg & Nikolas were born in KY).. :)

The shrimp & dessert looks good..

Glad you all had a good weekend..

  2. I so remember those days when Ethan's nap just made for difficult church mornings. I missed Bible Study a couple times when he just needed to sleep! Don't worry- this too shall pass. :)
