4th of July weekend recap!

We had a great 4th of July weekend! My dad (PJ) came into town on Thursday afternoon. The kids were still napping when he got here, but they were THRILLED when they woke up and PJ was here! He had treats hidden in his bag for them to find. Emma got some new necklaces and Hudson got a monster truck. PJ knows the way to their hearts.

After the kids woke up from their naps we went for a late afternoon swim.

And PJ did bed time stories when we got home.

On the 4th, PJ and I went to the new community center to workout and then met John and the kids at the pool. I didn't take a single picture at the pool (it's so difficult to do) but we had a great time. That evening the Mathis' and Owens' came over for a cookout and then fireworks. Amanda brought those little popper things and Jackson and Hudson were loving them!

We tried to get a family pic and I must have overlooked this one because I didn't think we got a good one. I'd say this is really good with a 3 year old and 20 month old!

This is what 47 of our family pictures looked like. #nailedit

And then we tried to get a picture of PJ with the kids. Hudson is saying, "it's ok Emma!" ha!

PJ so sweetly offered to stay home with Emma so I put her to bed and then we took Hudson to go see the fireworks. He and Smith did more popper things. (What are those called???)

And he also did sparklers for the first time!

And enjoyed a Steel City Pop

He's yelling "FIREWORKS!" His excitement made the fireworks so fun!

Sweet little friends.

On Saturday we headed to Costco for a few things and these 2 enjoyed a sample of Caesar salad.

Then we took PJ to get some Alabama BBQ!

Saturday night we hung out in the backyard. These 2 loved drinking lemonade out of the can.

Lots of wrestling with PJ

And a little pool time.

PJ had to leave Sunday morning right after the early service at church so these 2 had to say bye. They had the best weekend with their PJ!

Sunday night we walked to go get some pizza.

While we waited, these 2 played with the arcade games for the first time.

This sweet girl SHOVELED buttered noodles into her mouth like nobody's business. Love her

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th!
