My First Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was wonderful. My boys outdid themselves and made me feel so special and appreciated.

John got me a ring with Hudson's name hand stamped on it. I love it and I love that it is stackable so when Baby #2 arrives I can have that sweet name on my finger also.

After church we had a pool party to go to and Hudson got to go swimming. He wasn't sure what to think at first but he ended up loving the water.

For lunch we had hamburgers and hot dogs. Hudson loved watching all of the other kids.

He also got to taste his first Cheeto and he was a big fan. He ate it like a piece of corn on the cob his first few bites.

Me and my sweet boy who made me a mom.

John and Hudson made a fabulous dinner on Sunday night.

After we put Hudson to bed we enjoyed grilled flank steak, bacon & leak mashed potatoes and roasted green beans out on the patio.

And for dessert he made chocolate waffles. Oh heavens this was good.

The other part of my Mother's Day gift was a pedicure to a spa downtown. John had already scheduled the appointment for Tuesday morning and he got a babysitter for Hudson. So Tuesday morning at 8:30 I went and got an iced caramel macchiato (decaf) and headed downtown.

This spa is SO quaint and peaceful. I loved my time relaxing and I was the only one in the room.

I had a hot stone massage which I had never had before!

She even put small hot stones between my toes!

Thanks John and Hudson for the best first Mother's Day! I can't believe next year I will be a mom of 2!
