more summer fun!

ICYMI, I'm not giving up on blogging. I'm going back to June and posting about all the things that happened this summer. Hang in there with me as I get all caught up. I'm almost done though. :)

I think this might be my last generic summer photo dump.

A couple weeks after we moved here a new farmer's market opened across the street from our house. They have wonderful produce and we have gone at least once a week since they opened!

John was gone for a week on the Chapel Choir tour to Washington D.C. and when he got back we spent a little bit of time in his office. He needed to work on a song for church so I helped unpack boxes and Hudson jammed along with him.

Emma James LOVES avocado.

One of the {many} things I miss about HEB is the grocery carts. There is a double seat so instead of having to drive this huge monster of a cart. But the kids both love it.

Another picture of Emma eating. Food makes her happy.

And another farmer's market trip. Everything is so good.

my whole heart

Hudson was obsessed with the cantaloupe from the farmer's market.

Lovie and pacis...she's all set for bed.

One of the things Emma learned to do this summer is pull up. She's growing way too fast.

They love to play together in Emma's crib. Not Hudson's. Neither of them enjoy playing in his bed. Ha! Here Hudson was sucking on one of Emma's pacis.

Her eyes.

For 3 Sundays in August, we had each grade of the Chapel Choir over to our house for lunch after church. After Hudson's nap, he discovered the leftover ice. He loves ice.

He also loved the dippin dots that we had at those lunches.

Hudson isn't very excited about Emma's love for his piano.

About 45 seconds before this was taken the sunroom was picked up and organized.

A trip to the farmer's market.

Hudson and Emma have started wrestling together. She is actually more aggressive than he is. Ha!

Spaghetti!

She acquired a new lovie. She really cuddles with her Lambie and Piggie and it melts my heart.

A family date night at Little Donkey. The food was delicious and we sat outside on the patio where it was almost cool.

I love that it looks like they are playing school here. They weren't though. :)

Swinging in the park. She's wearing onesie with an appliquéd butterfly and pom pom fringe on the sleeves and was called a boy. Huh?

summer randoms

ICYMI, I'm not giving up on blogging. I'm going back to June and posting about all the things that happened this summer. Hang in there with me as I get all caught up.

At the beginning of June, Patrick, Courtney, and Ethan were driving from Waco back to North Carolina. We are so excited that Birmingham is a halfway point for them! It was great seeing our best friends.

Spending some time together watching a video on the iPad.

Hudson is always very quick to remind us when we need to pray.

Hilarious...he wasn't falling, just trying to get out.

Fun in the backyard. This was right before Emma started crawling so it was a lot easier to play outside.

My sweet littles before our second Sunday. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of them on our first Sunday.

The eyes.

This picture was taken towards the end of a really long week. John was in D.C. with the Chapel Choir and the kids and I were in Birmingham alone. Hudson's 2 year molars started coming in which made him sick and Emma's bottom 2 teeth came in. She also started crawling that week.

While I was taking one of Emma's monthly pictures, Hudson jumped up in the chair with her. This was SO RARE. He rarely sits still for a picture, let alone one in a chair with his sister.

Our first time using the beast cart at Target.

My new friend Jen (who I met through Twitter and lives in the area) came up to our house with her kids one day. Her twins, JP and Jocelynn are 19 months old and Maddie is 4 months old. I am so thankful for Jen and her friendship!

After John got back from the Chapel Choir trip, our house got toilet papered by some of the students. We take it as a sign of love. ;)

John and I got to have a date night and he drove me up to the top of the "mountain" to see the view of downtown.

Everyday, John will tell Hudson all the ways he's proud of him. Things from, picking up toys to giving good hugs. It lasts for a couple of minutes and it's such a precious time.

Alright, that was random enough. :)

Hudson goes to camp!

ICYMI, I'm not giving up on blogging. I'm going back to June and posting about all the things that happened this summer. Hang in there with me as I get all caught up.

The day school that Hudson will start attending next week had a little day camp this summer that Hudson attended. He was so excited about wearing his backpack and going to camp!

And of course a big truck drove by as we were taking pictures.

After the week was over they emailed me a few pictures of the week. I am so thankful to have these! Hudson loves this big stroller.

The day camp was Monday - Thursday and he had the best time! It was also a great time for me to get a lot of unpacking done. :)

John's 30th birthday!

ICYMI, I'm not giving up on blogging. I'm going back to June and posting about all the things that happened this summer. Hang in there with me as I get all caught up.

Our first Sunday at our new church here was also John's 30th birthday. After church we went over to John's boss's house for lunch and they had a delicious strawberry cake for dessert.

It was a perfect way to celebrate my man's birthday and first Sunday here. The night before we had a celebration for him with our friends Eric and Brittany but I totally failed to take any pictures that night. I guess that's what happens when you become a bad blogger.

I am so thankful for this man!
